Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

Dogish is a product of Doxtail AB (reg. no. 559586-4512). We are the data controller for the information you provide when using the app.

2. What Data Do We Collect?

Account information: email address and encrypted password
Pet profiles: name, breed, age, sex, photo, and animal type
Health data: weights, vet visits, feeding history, and reminders
AI conversations: your questions and the AI's responses, linked to your pet
Payment information: handled by Apple App Store and Google Play via RevenueCat — we never store card details
Push subscription: technical token for sending notifications to your device

3. Why Do We Process Your Data?

To provide the service and your pet profiles
To send reminders via push notifications and email
To manage your subscription and payment
To improve the service (anonymised statistics)
Anonymised, aggregated data may be used for research and product development in animal health — no personal or identifiable data is included

Legal basis: contract (performance of the service) and legitimate interest.

4. Third-Party Providers

Supabase (EU) — database and authentication
Anthropic / Claude (USA) — AI analysis of your questions
RevenueCat (USA) — subscription management
Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing. Card details are handled solely by Apple/Google within their own platforms.
Resend (USA) — email delivery
Railway (USA) — server hosting
Vercel (USA) — web hosting

Transfers to the USA (Anthropic, RevenueCat, Resend, Railway, Vercel) are made on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Payments are handled solely by Apple and Google within their own platforms.

5. How Long Do We Retain Your Data?

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account. When you delete your account, your login information is removed immediately and all data linked to you is permanently anonymised — the connection between the data and your identity is broken forever. Please note that this is an irreversible action; we cannot restore your account or data afterwards.

Anonymised data: Data that can no longer be linked to an identifiable person (pet profiles, conversations, log entries) may be retained and used for research and product development in animal health.

Free text in AI questions: Questions you ask the AI are stored in anonymised form, i.e. without a link to a specific user. We recommend that you avoid writing information that could identify you in your questions.

Anthropic: Questions you send to the AI are forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate responses. These may be stored by Anthropic in accordance with their own privacy policy. We cannot guarantee deletion of data already sent to Anthropic.

6. Your Rights

Access: you can view all your data directly in the app
Rectification: you can edit your profile at any time
Erasure: delete your account from the Account page in the app
Data portability: contact us to request an export of your data

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

Dogish uses localStorage to save language preferences and login status. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Security

All data is protected with Row Level Security (RLS) in the database — no other user can see your data. All communication takes place over encrypted HTTPS.
